There are some travel tips that we summarize for travelers when coming to Indochina

VIETNAM

Formalities :

UK, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish, Russian, Korean, and Japanese citizens: passport valid for at least 6 months after the return date, visa-free for stays less than 16 days.

Which language?

The official language and most widely spread in Viet Nam is vietnamita.

English is spoken in all tourist areas.

Which currency?

The national currency is the dông (VND)

The exchange rate is subject to sudden change.

What time is it?       

Noon in London: 6 pm in Vietnam in summer and 7 pm in winter.

What to wear?

Light clothes regardless of the season in the south but for the visit to temples and pagodas, make sure you have a top with sleeves (shoulders must be covered) and bottoms going at least up to the knee. From November to March it can get pretty cold in the North, so make sure to have warm clothes for mornings and evenings.

English is spoken in all tourist areas.

The national currency is the riel (KHR) but US dollars are commonly used.

MYANMAR

Beware of the power shortage in rural areas and small cities.
