Departure to visit Banteay Srei temple, the "Citadel of Women". Along the way, stop in a traditional village where palm sugar is produced (depending on the season).Next stop, visit the Butterfly Garden and Ta Keo temple, then walk to Ta Nei, a small temple away from mass tourism, located in the forest creating a mysterious atmosphere.Lunch in a local restaurant.The road to the famous Ta Prohm temple is engulfed by vegetation that puts visitors in the skin of the first explorers. Road to Phnom Penh, on the way, visit of Sambor Prei Kuk site (seventh century) which is the most important pre-Angkorian complex. Back on the road with a short stop in the village of Skun, famous for its culinary specialty: spiders! You can eat them and take them on your hands if you want.Lunch on the road. Arrive in Phnom Penh and check in at your hotel.Dinner and night at the hotel.
City tour of the historic capital: Silver Pagoda, the National Museum which offers a wonderful collection of bronze coins, sculptures, bas-reliefs, etc. Early lunch near the pier.Boarding on a speed boat in the direction of Chau Doc. Navigation along the Mekong, administrative formalities at the border. Departure to Tra Su forest, the bird's garden. Departure by boat on the Nong Cai canal to discover the river activities and the Cai Rang floating market. Tasting of fresh fruits of the area directly bought from a boat on the river. Back to the pier and embarkation aboard a traditional wooden boat. Welcome drink. Lunch aboard the boat while cruising through the canals.A bicycle ride across small green paths, stop in the Lach village in order to visit one of the gardens and taste some of the tropical fruits. Back on the boat and pursuit your cruise towards Cai Be, where you will enjoy a magical sunset from the deck of the boat. The boat will anchor for the night.Dinner and overnight on the boat.
Sailing through Cai Be wholesale floating market. Back on land and visit a small village specialized in handcrafts, visit ancient houses, and taste tropical fruits. Navigate across the small arroyos between the islands. A short bicycle ride across luxuriant small paths. Back on the main boat and disembarkation. Transfer by boat towards Cho Lach. Arrive at Nam Hien cottage where you will spend the night, a typical wooden house of the delta. Lunch of local delicacies.Discover the local life and the history of the area where arboriculture is very important as it has always been a very fertile land. Bicycle trip along the shaded little backways of the village and get back in time for cooking dinner along with the family. For dinner, duck is cooked in coconut milk, a specialty of the family. Night at the cottage.
Bicycle ride to the nearby local market filled with fresh products from the delta. The road is back throughout the little trails, which is a great way to get in touch with the local life. Lunch along the way.Tour Chinatown for its special atmosphere, very commercial area, the great Binh Tay Marketherbalists' alleys, and the Thien Hau Temple, known for its statuettes glazed ceramic. Visit a lacquer factory where are exposed many lacquered objects and incrusted with nacre, the ancestral tradition of Vietnam.Dinner cruise on the Mekong River with a traditional music show. Night at the hotel.
Walking tour around the old colonial district, photo stop in front of the Reunification Palace before visiting the central post office, designed by Gustave Eiffel’s workshop; followed by Notre Dame Cathedral, constructed in 1880. Walk on the ex-Catinat street to the city hall, the municipal theatre, and the historic “Continental” hotel.
