General Overview

The best time to visit Cambodia is from October to March. June is the hottest month and the rainy season starts in July and lasts until October. Depending on when you travel, the scenario can vary throughout the year.

Visit the temples at Angkor

April to June is very hot, so visiting the temples is inconvenient due to the intense heat. The best months around Siem Reap and Battambang are October to March, but this is also the peak tourist season. From July to September the temperature is hot but bearable and above all there are very few tourists!

Go to the beach

Cambodia is the perfect country for a beach vacation as you can go snorkeling off the south coast from October to June. The monsoon months from July to September are quite humid. However, it was not very crowded at that time and the landscape is beautiful because it is very green and sometimes a little tropical rain refreshes the air!

Visit Tonlé Sap

According to the Cambodia travel guide, when coming here, visitors cannot miss the “Great lake” named Tonlé Sap. It is a large lake that changes with the seasons: in the rainy season (from June), the water covers the buildings and structures here and it is possible to see the boat ride to visit the floating village. The dry season is from November to May, you can easily visit the haunted village and see all the beauty of this place. Therefore, it is possible to visit the Tonlé Sap floating villages all year round, but the view is always different in terms of splendor.

Siem Reap

Located in the north-west of Cambodia. It is an interesting city which attracts millions of tourists each year, especially for the famous Angkor Complex (UNESCO World Heritage). It is located in the North-East of the largest sweet water reservoir in Southeast Asia, the great Tonlé Sap lake and surrounded by lots of rice fields and other agricultural plantations. You will especially appreciate its preserved architecture of colonial style following the typical Khmer traditions. And of course it is the home of the Angkor Complex, a ruined city of the ancient Khmer dynasty.

Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, is located on the confluence of three rivers, the Mekong, the Bassac and the Tonlé Sap.  This capital is famous for its charm, tranquility and peaceful life. In addition, the presence of French colonial buildings, temples, and especially the giant Angkorian architecture, make this city a great destination to explore.  On top of  this, and to make the trip more exotic, you can choose to discover the city in tuk-tuk (the local taxis) while visiting many interesting sites like palaces, pagodas, museums, etc...

Battambang is a province in the North-west of Cambodia, known as the second city of Cambodia. Unlike the capital Phnom Penh with a crowded and bustling scene, Battambang brings a peaceful village beauty. Most of the architectural works here are French colonial style and traditional Cambodian architecture. Famous tourist attractions in Battambang city can be mentioned such as: Ek Phnom Temple, Phnom Banan Temple, Sampeau Hill, ...

Koh Rong Island

Koh Rong Island is located in the Gulf of Thailand and is the second largest island in Cambodia with an area of more than 78 square kilometers. It is famous for its neglected beauty of fine white sand, clear, warm sea water and a pleasant tropical climate. In addition, this place is also famous for the experience of watching the glowing plankton that makes anyone surprised and amazed.
